Doris Hike - Hiking in a new dimension...

Hike - stroll - stand in awe, discover the secrets of the trail, breathe healthy Alpine air and marvel at the unique mountain world: Doris Schmied's aim as a guide is to take you "hiking in a new dimension" - laced with fascinating facts on flora, fauna, landscape and people - through her home country, the Lauterbrunnen Valley, in the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Heritage in the Bernese Oberland.

Hike the valley of 72 Waterfalls

Start at Lauterbrunnen Railway Station. Walk about 400m through the village. As you reach the church, take either the surfaced road in the direction of the Staubbach Falls or follow the path below the church along the River Lütschine.  Follow either trail until you reach the turn off left to Trümmelbach Falls (at the bench/water trough).

From the Falls, follow the main road to Camping Breithorn. Turn right through the camping site and over the Weisse Lütschine River back onto the surfaced hiking trail. Cross the arched bridge(*) at the electrical power station and continue to the bus stop at Hotel Stechelberg.
